Your submission at Articles for creation: Jenice Armstrong (March 12)
[edit]
- If you would like to continue working on the submission, go to Draft:Jenice Armstrong and click on the "Edit" tab at the top of the window.
- If you do not edit your draft in the next 6 months, it will be considered abandoned and may be deleted.
- If you need any assistance, or have experienced any untoward behavior associated with this submission, you can ask for help at the Articles for creation help desk, on the reviewer's talk page or use Wikipedia's real-time chat help from experienced editors.
- Ms. Armstrong is frequently cited in other media. Example, today the Daily Mail (UK) has an article that references her. Her opinions are syndicated nationally: Seattle Times, Greensboro News & Record, Las Vegas Sun, Fairbanks (AK) Daily News Mirror. Are these types of references more appropriate? She also has been on CNN and a regular guest on local TV/radio. This draft page has a reference to a Philadelphia Magazine profile of Ms. Armstrong. On 10-Mar the same magazine had a direct quote of Ms. Armstrong in a piece about coverage of crime in local Philadelphia media.
- Do you suggest a section on the kinds of topics she covers? She's also won many awards. fcvft (talk) 04:20, 13 March 2023 (UTC)
- I just found a reference to Ms. Armstrong in October 2021 sexual assault on SEPTA train. Is this useful? fcvft (talk) 04:32, 13 March 2023 (UTC)
- Hi Fcturner note that if you link to another users name and sign a post most users will get a notification as people may not be watching a page for a response (I do for a day after a review) - see WP:MENTION. Luckily I was still watching, so... all new articles on Wikipedia have to show the subject is notable (See WP:N) which in most cases requires significant coverage (WP:SIGCOV) in multiple independent (WP:INDY) reliable sources (WP:RS). So that means Wikipedia cares what others say about a subject not what the subject in this case writes or says. As ever there are some exceptions, such as the work of scientists etc but only if cited. As such being on TV or radio is also in itself not considered notable in itself unless other write about it. So look for articles about her and her work written by others. Regards KylieTastic (talk) 12:55, 13 March 2023 (UTC)
- Hi @KylieTastic, I understand, thanks for the review and feedback. fcvft (talk) 02:34, 14 March 2023 (UTC)
